Where It Started
RaveTrax grew out of the 1990s Florida rave scene. Clubs in Orlando, then Tampa Bay and Ybor City, and house parties all over the state. It began as a pile of cassette tapes, recorded and saved as we bounced from one underground party to the next.
Going Online
By 2000 the music had moved online, back when most people did not know what streaming was. It started as Tribliss Entertainment, "Promoting the Art of a Techno Generation," founded in Orlando before the millennium, with broadcasts, webcams, forums and a chatroom for the scene. On July 18, 2002, RaveTrax.com went on the air, and on September 11, 2002, after months of planning, designing and sorting through hours of sets, we announced our soft opening. The tagline back then: "Streaming Proof That The Underground Movement Is Still Alive."
The early crew and DJs included Purple Haze, Suzy Solar, Rava, DJ Champs, Naki and Statyk. We ran a 128k stream for broadband and a 24k stream so dial-up listeners could join in too. RaveTrax became one of the earliest online electronica communities and an AOL Music flagship channel.
Growing Up
By 2004 RaveTrax had a video stream, an IRC chat room, forums, photo galleries and a store, all run as a community-supported, non-profit venue kept alive by listener donations. On February 8, 2005, SHOUTcast's own TTSL report (SHOUTcast was run by Nullsoft, part of AOL) ranked RaveTrax.com #184 out of more than 2,800 stations, with 15,354,582 tune-ins.
That streaming credibility led to something special. The Salvador Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg brought RaveTrax in for “Dalí Stay-Awake in 3-D,” a 24-hour celebration of Dalí’s 100th birthday on May 7 and 8, 2004: the only 24-hour rave ever held at the museum, with DJs and a chill-out room right in the galleries. Our Family Of Sites
RaveTrax was never just one website. It all began with cwcc.com in 1998: Cyber World Communications, a spare-time web design, scripts and downloads hobby. That grew into the CWCC (Cyber World Community Center) forums where the community gathered, and around it grew a few more homes for the scene and for online broadcasters:

Today
Two decades later the collection is still growing and the stream still plays around the clock. The same roots now live on in our sister channel, ElectricCyder, streaming live mixes with visuals. Same music, same love.
